I had the honor of attending a Soul Care retreat in Vail, Colorado. Megan, a gifted writer and dear friend, documented their stories while I captured their pictures. Megan will be sharing about each of these women and their incredible missions.
Megan would love to hear your story. Send her some love.
“You remind me of Taylor Swift, but way cooler.”
And we mean, way cooler.
Meet Kezia, the sweetest little heart we know. Get her talking about Pakistan, where Shining Light International, the nonprofit she serves is located, and she will tear up and have you grabbing tissues in seconds.
Currently living in Colorado Springs with her husband, Kezia advocates and builds support for Shining Light Intl, which provides education, vocational training and developmental work in rural areas of Pakistan. This organization was the first to reach out to a particular “rough-around-the-edges” nomadic tribe. They had lived thousands of years without ever having education in their community until SLI built relationship with them.
Though she longs to “live and die in Pakistan,” Kezia carries an incredible sense of thankfulness for life and overflowing compassion for the people she meets everywhere. Sharing her own story with us, she kept asking about ours too, connecting with us and the other women in such a genuine way.
We just want to thank you, Kezia, for how you open your heart and connect with those around you. We know that because you lay down your life and let love flow, your will touch people wherever you go in an incredibly powerful way.
