Meet Megan {Soul Care Retreat}

The past 3 days I had the privilege of documenting the Soul Care Retreat in the beautiful mountains of Vail, Colorado. Soul Care’s mission is to empower non-profit leaders who continually give their lives to serve others. One of the most vital, coolest missions I know.

While Lula Belle (my camera) captured the heart of these women, Megan, my dear friend, assisted me while documented their stories.

When we were not capturing these 8 hidden heroes, Megan and I were pampered in the luxurious Ritz Carlton Residence. Dining and working in robes is a rough life, I know.

Over the next 8 days, I’ll be highlighting each of these powerful women showcasing Megan’s stories.

I first wanted to introduce the face behind the beautiful writer. Watch out, Megan’s a stunner.

This girl is filled with bursts of inspiration, contagious laughter, and infused passion. Megan claims my sense of adventure challenges hers but I believe my thrill for new encounters feeds off her zesty spirit.

Megan is a kindred spirit and was kind (and brave) enough to be my travel buddy to Colorado Springs. You know you have a keeper of a friend when they help you move your entire life across country.

Our days consisted of unforgettable roadside adventures, saran wrap wrestling, sketchy solicitors, dead birds, fainting episodes, sharing toothbrushes, one-way roads and spontaneous squeals. You can ask Megan about her fainting episode. The rest are concealed to preserve our dignity.

The women loved being adorned with love and make-up from Megan, who is also a beautician. This girl has many talents.

The first day, we pranced around Vail scouting out locations. I forgot to mention, Megan is also a model.

Like I said, this girl has it all.

I asked the women to dance with the camera. Here’s Megan modeling a salsa dance for one of the ladies.

I couldn’t have asked for a better sassafras partner-in-crime.

So thankful for your friendship and what you bring to my life Megs. I can’t wait for all the future adventures that are yet to come.
